Transport for London - Future Detection Messaging Interface Workshops

posted on 19 07 2016

In what is likely to be the biggest shake-up to detection technologies (which is the most basic building block technology used in ITS infrastructure) since the introduction of inductive loops, TfL have announced a series of workshops to discuss the recent white paper produced by Francesco Guariglia, (Senior Traffic Technology Engineer, Technology, Traffic Infrastructure, Asset Management Directorate, TfL).

TfL is inviting participants at a series of workshops to be held at 55 Broadway, London SW1H 0BD. The dates are: Monday 12th September 14:00 to 16:00, Tuesday 13th September 10:00 to 12:00 or Wednesday 14th September 14:00 to 16:00

The initiative is exploring the capability to utilise a range of modern communications protocols to replace the traditional relay switched contact interface, so that more information can be disseminated.

Places on the workshops are limited, so contact Francesco to book a place.
