The Q1 2016 Research Report has recently been published by TRL and looks at a number of the most pressing issues affecting transport with a focus on Connected and Automated Vehicles.

Professor Nick Reed, Academy Director at TRL comments: "The move towards connected and automated vehicles presents us with many opportunities to improve mobility, accessibility, safety and sustainability. But it also presents mange challenges. For example, who will be responsible should something go wrong? And how can we ensure systems respond appropriately? The research TRL is conducting in this area, will be critical in overcoming these challenges and ensuring the next generation of vehicles integrate safely and effectively into our cities and roads."
