Motorists caught by London's most lucrative speed camera cleared

Motorists caught by London's most lucrative speed camera have been cleared in court because road signs were confusing.

Magistrates found one driver not guilty and granted an absolute discharge to another who had pleaded guilty after hearing that Transport for London failed to make it clear that a temporary 30mph limit was in force on the section of the North Circular. About 15,000 drivers were caught in the first six months, raking in £1.5 million in fines.
